The Making of The Striding Man | Johnnie Walker x Echoes of Earth 2023

One of the most challenging yet fulfilling projects I’ve worked on — a 15-foot-tall sculpture of the iconic Striding Man, created especially for Echoes of Earth – India’s Greenest Music Festival, held on 2nd & 3rd December 2023.

What makes this piece truly special is its core: 500 kgs of recycled e-waste—transformed into art with a purpose. From discarded wires and circuit boards to metal scraps, each element was repurposed to bring this emblem of progress and resilience to life.

With just 20 days on the clock, this wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering spirit and skill of my amazing team. Together, we walked the talk on sustainability — and made him stride.

This work is not just a sculpture, but a reminder: Keep walking. Consciously. Sustainably. Creatively.
